If you are not sharing your posts you could be missing out.

If you, like many other "bloggers" or column writers take time over your articles to make them as good as they can be then there is a good chance that what you publish is of a good quality.

People notice the article and follow your advice.

Writting additional articles to promote yourself with is, therefore, a folly you would do well to avoid. Why not use that article and share it, not just here at Buzz42, but at other submittions based sites. If you read each sites guidlines and get to know what they like at the strt then you will quickly get an idea of the sites that will be willing to publish your article.

A little extra outreach can be gained by submitting to article directories. Admittedly you don't know if your article will be read and if it is you don't know if it will be published but it will never be read or published if you sit on your thumbs and do nothing.

Why would you want to do this at all?

I am glad you asked. By publishing your article on other sites you provide them with content and they provide links to your own site that you added to the article (often in an about the author section). The best thing is the page linking to your site will be related in topic and score well with the search giants.

Some articles after doing a tour of duty for your own site or newsletter can be dug out, dusted off quickly and suddenly you have a fresh new article ready to activly promote you on other sites.

One last note, some sites especially those run by paper based publications tend to require a little exculsivity. So with these make sure you freshen up you references and give it a while before you offer it again to side step the possibility of upsetting the publisher.

So what are you waiting for?
